How to search for specific words across all website pages

To search for specific words across your affiliate website, follow the instructions below:


  1. Log in to Siteimprove
  2. From the left navigation, click Policy 
  3. Click My policies 
  4. From the button options at the top, click Create policy 
  5. For Policy Category, select Content 
  6. Click Add rule to policy 
  7. From the list of match types, click Content match 
  8. In the Add match field, enter the specific word you wish to search for 
  9. To add additional words or phrases, click Add another match 
  10. Enter the next word or phrase into the Add match field 
  11. Once you have finished adding words, scroll down to the Policy name field and enter a name 
  12. Optional: Enter a brief note in the Note field explaining the purpose of the policy 
  13. Optional: Click on a priority level to see it at the top of your list for easy action 
  14. Optional: Check a module box to make policies visible in other modules, such as Quality Assurance 
  15. Finally, click Create policy in the bottom-right corner 
  16. To view the list of pages that contain one or all of the words you listed, click the title of your policy from the Active list section 
  17. Scroll down to the bottom section and click on the title of any page 
  18. From the Page Report that opens, a word match will be highlighted in red to display where on the page that specific match appears 
  19. Use the occurrence control to locate where on the page the next match is (if more than 1)  
  20. To make changes to any or all of the words on a specific page, click the CMS button at the top of the page 
  21. If you are not already logged in, log in
  22. Click Next to get to the Enter body content screen 
  23. Use CTRL+F to locate your word or words that were highlighted in the Page Report and make the appropriate changes 
  24. Once you are done making updates, click Publish 


The next time Siteimprove runs a sweep on your site, this item will automatically fall from the list of occurrences.
