How to add tags and/or tracking codes to all website pages via Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Tags and tracking codes are added to pages on your website via Google Tag Manager (GTM). Follow the instructions below to add a specific tag to all of your affiliate pages:

  1. Log in to Google Tag Manager (GTM)
  2. Click your affiliate's container under the Container Name column  

  3. From the Workspace dashboard, click Add a New Tag

  4. Click in the "Untitled Tag" field and enter an appropriate name for your tracking code (ex. GA4 Google Tag, GADs (paid) - [what you are tracking], eNewsletter)


  5. Click anywhere in the Tag Configuration section and select "Custom HTML"



  6. Paste the tracking code into the HTML body



  7. Before saving, click anywhere in the Triggering section



  8. Click All Pages



  9. Click Save
  10. From the upper-right corner, click Submit

  11. Enter a name and description for the tag that you created and click Publish once complete
