How to resize a photo for CMS? (non-Photoshop)

Modified on Mon, Jul 8 at 4:23 PM

If you do not have access to Adobe Photoshop, there are several free online resources that are available and easy to use. One of those tools is called Photopea. Below you will find the instructions on how to quickly resize an image in Photopea:

  1. Go to https://www.photopea.com/
  2. Click Open From Computer
  3. Select your image and click Open
  4. Click the crop tool on the left
  5. From the tool bar options at the top, click on the crop setting drop-down that defaults to Free and select Fixed Size

  6. Enter the appropriate width and height size

  7. Manually adjust the box to include more of the image (this will not change the size, it will keep the same ratio aspect; also, make sure to stay within the image frame otherwise it will add blank white space)

  8. Once done, click the checkmark at the top of the page

  9. Next, click File, go down to 'Export as' and select JPG
  10. Finally, give the resized image a name and click Save (this will save to your selected default folder for downloading files ; i.e. Downloads, My Documents, Desktop)
